Our goal is to make World Walking accessible to everyone, which is why we have the free account for individual users to benefit from.
However if you’d like to create your own group for others to join, and benefit from other features such as World Stats, you can always upgrade to Plus at any time.
No — migrating your existing solo walks and total distance was only possible before 1st October 2026. You can still register a new account and start exploring the world on the new system.
No — the old worldwalking.org shut down on 1st May 2026. You are welcome to sign up to the new worldwalking.com if you wish to continue counting your steps and virtually exploring the world.
Re-registering to use worldwalking.com is completely optional.
Any old data from worldwalking.org was permanently erased.
